Wordplay Poetry Slam & Open Mic!

Poetry is back at Richmond Hood Co.

Join us as we usher in a new age of poetry on the Island of Staten.

This will be a special slam as we are joined by drummer AJ Pantaleo who will be providing live drums to our slam in honor of National Poetry Month.

Here are the rules:

1. We will be accepting only 8 poets for the slam so first come first serve
2. Poets will have 5 minutes
3. Poets can let the drummer know what kind of beat they want
4. No props
5. Prewritten work please, we are not looking for freestyle (that will be another program)
5. We will do 8 poets first round, 3 poets 2nd round and 2 poets last round

PRIZE:

1st Place: $200
2nd Place: $100 Richmond Hood Gift Bag


This will also be an open mic
