August 17, 2008... A bunch of heads met up at the Staten Island ferry for the first ever Keep It Movin' skate event. Hosted by Brian $aul & Sponsored by Vans, Manik Skateboards, Venture Trucks, Prize Fighter Cutlery, Acapulco Gold, Chopper Dave, Against Da' Grill, POWERade. Even though we got rained out... They Just Crush Alot
DEMS, a well known local artist and a good friend of ours, came through in the clutch to bless the space with his artwork. We printed a huge version of his pen and ink piece "LAND OF THE FREE" and wrapped our shoe wall with it. He has a few original joints on display in the spot as well, not to mention the shirts we have of his that fly off the shelves when we put them out. Keep an eye out for < more of DEMS >...
